 NEIL D. LEVIN CONFIRMED BY THE NYS SENATE AS SUPERINTENDENT OF THE STATE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Governor George E. Pataki's nomination of Neil D. Levin as Superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department was unanimously confirmed today by the State Senate. Governor Pataki officially nominated Mr. Levin to the position of Insurance Superintendent on February 21. He was appointed Acting Superintendent by the Governor on April 1, and has been serving in that capacity since April 7.

Prior to joining the Insurance Department, Mr. Levin had been the New York State Banking Superintendent.
