Prior to joining American International Group, Mr. Gardner was Secretary and Counsel for the Home Insurance Company from August 1986 to December 1991. He also served as Corporate Counsel for Andrew Edwards and Company from October 1985 to August 1986. He began his legal career with AIG in 1982, where he served as a law clerk and attorney.
