"The Department’s Webcast of recent public hearings is one example of our commitment to providing easily accessible, high quality information to consumers via our Web site," said Levin. "We also have comprehensive guides available for anyone looking for information on purchasing health, auto or homeowners insurance. It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts in this arena and will continue to find ways to use technology to better communicate with consumers."

The Department was given an "A" grade based on the availability and quality of information available on its site. As more and more consumers use the Internet as a resource, it is vital that organizations use the Internet to communicate effectively with the public.
