DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND EVENTS IN SUFFOLK COUNTY
Department Staff on Hand to Provide Important Information for Medicare Beneficiaries
Superintendent Neil D. Levin today announced that Department staff will be attending ten events throughout Suffolk County to provide important information for Medicare beneficiaries.
In response to the withdrawal of several HMOs on Long Island from the Medicare market, the Suffolk County Office for the Aging is sponsoring ten outreach sessions. The sessions will provide information to Medicare beneficiaries on health insurance options available to supplement Medicare. The Department’s staff members will be present to explain Medigap insurance, how to compare policies, and New York State’s enrollment protections.
