INSURANCE DEPARTMENT TO HOST FORUM TO DISCUSS INSURANCE ISSUES IN THE AFTERMATH OF WTC TRAGEDY
Department and Battery Park City Authority Hold Information Session for Downtown Residents and Business Owners

            Superintendent Gregory V. Serio in conjunction Timothy S. Carey, President and CEO of the Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority, today announced that representatives from insurance companies and the Insurance Department will be participating in an Insurance Forum for all downtown Manhattan residents and business owners. In addition, Spanish-speaking representatives from the Insurance Department will be available to assist New York’s Spanish-speaking community.

            "Since the events of September 11th, the Department has been working hard to meet the needs of all New Yorkers who may have been affected by the World Trade Center disaster," said Serio. "We realize that the residents and businesses of the downtown area have specific concerns and I hope they take advantage of this valuable insurance information session."

            "The Battery Park City Authority is delighted to be working with the New York State Insurance Department to assist residents and businesses with questions regarding insurance claims related to the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center," said Timothy S. Carey, President and CEO of the Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority. The Insurance Forum is another example of how teamwork and cooperation are helping our neighborhood, our city and our state rebuild for a brighter future."
