DEPARTMENT TO UNVEIL NEW ‘CONSUMER FRIENDLY BOOTH’ AT 2003

Meet with Department Insurance Experts to Get the Latest Information on Important
Insurance Coverages
Superintendent of Insurance Gregory V. Serio today announced that Department specialists from the Consumer Services Bureau will be staffing an information booth at the Erie County Fair in Hamburg, NY, which runs from August 7th through August 17th. The Department will be debuting a new consumer friendly information booth and handing out informational computer disks which provide the Department’s consumer guides to health, auto, homeowners, long term care and property insurance.
The Department’s specialists will be in attendance to provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions concerning health, life, automobile and homeowners insurance, submit consumer complaints and learn about Healthy NY and insurance fraud. In addition, the booth will be equipped with a computer for access to our Web site.
"I hope Western New Yorkers take advantage of the opportunity to meet with the Department’s insurance experts and discover the valuable insurance information that is available at our new, improved booth this year," said Serio.
The booth will be located in the International Agri-Center building.
