STATEMENT BY NEW YORK STATE INSURANCE SUPERINTENDENT GREGORY V. SERIO ON TODAY’S REGULATION 68 RULING
"We are deeply gratified by the State Court of Appeal’s favorable and unanimous decision upholding Regulation 68. Under Governor Pataki's leadership, the Insurance Department has launched a comprehensive effort to help consumers by combating auto insurance fraud and abuse, and today’s decision is a major victory for thousands of hardworking motorists throughout New York."
