MILLS LAUNCHES BI-MONTHLY WEBCAST ADDRESSES

Superintendent of Insurance Howard Mills is now sharing his views on insurance issues of importance to New Yorkers through bi-monthly webcast reports that can be heard at www.empirestatenews.net.

The program may also be accessed via www.midhudsonnews.com, where Superintendent Mills, a former state Assemblyman, joins a list of periodic guest commentators which already includes prominent Hudson Valley-based state legislators and business leaders. The Superintendent is the first guest commentator to appear on a regular basis on www.empirestatenews.net.

"Empire State News’ web site reaches an influential audience and I appreciate the opportunity to address them on a regular basis," Superintendent Mills said. "My remarks every other week will cover a broad range of relevant topics and stress the Insurance Department’s commitment to promoting a fair and competitive marketplace while also educating consumers about insurance."

The Empire State News and Mid-Hudson News web sites draw thousands of unique visitors each month and are part of the Statewide News Network, Inc., a privately-owned corporation in Middletown, NY. The content at the two web sites is updated every day, including weekends. Both cover governmental news extensively and were created by Hank Gross, a veteran radio and print journalist with 40 years of experience covering the people and events of the Hudson Valley.

To listen to Superintendent Mills’ current webcast, go online to www.empirestatenews.net and link to the Superintendent’s ‘Internet Radio Report.’ The Superintendent’s Report is accessible 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
