ROCHESTER MAN CHARGED WITH WORKERS’ COMP FRAUD
Gilbert Yulfo, 52, of 72 Shelmont Dr., Rochester, was charged with workers’ compensation fraud Tuesday for submitting false documents stating that he was not working so he could collect $2,448 in workers’ compensation benefits, the New York State Insurance Department reported.
Yulfo, who was actually employed while collecting the benefits, was arrested by state police after an investigation by William Fedrau of the Insurance Department’s Frauds Bureau, the New York State Insurance Fund and the Inspector General’s Office of the Workers’ Compensation Board. He was released pending a hearing in Town of Irondequoit Court and could be sentenced to up to four years in prison if convicted.
