A Buffalo area bill collector was arrested Tuesday for cashing workers’ compensation checks sent to her deceased mother, the New York State Insurance Department reported.
Police arrested Robin E. McQuade said Kassirer endorsed and cashed four checks totaling $1,600 that were mailed to her mother by Hartford Insurance following her mother’s death in February.
Kassirer was charged with forgery and grand larceny. She was released pending further court action.
