SECTION I

This section records the receipt of applications and notices to the Banking Department.   Applications and notices received by the Foreign and Wholesale Banks, Community and Regional Banks and Licensed Financial Services Divisions are listed in order of date of receipt; applications and notices received by the Mortgage Banking Division are listed at the end of  Section I by type of application or notice.  THE WEEKLY BULLETIN CONSTITUTES THE ONLY WRITTEN NOTIFICATION OF THESE SUBMISSIONS THAT WILL BE ISSUED BY THE BANKING DEPARTMENT.  Any comment on, or objection to, any item contained in this Weekly Bulletin should be presented to the Banking Department within 10 calendar days of the date of this bulletin, unless a different time period is specified in the item.  More specifically, such comments or objections, including any that concern CRA-related applications, should be either  (a) delivered by mail or in person to The Secretary of the New York State Banking Board, One State Street, New York, New York 10004-1417 before the stated deadline or (b) transmitted by e-mail to BBSecretary@banking.state.ny.us. SECTION II

This section records actions taken by the Superintendent of Banks and/or the Banking Board, and other information concerning the activities of the Banking Department.  Actions relating to institutions supervised by the Foreign and Wholesale Banks, Community and Regional Banks and Licensed Financial Services Divisions are listed in order of date of action; actions relating to institutions supervised by the Mortgage Banking Division are listed at the end of Section II by type of action taken.

SECTION III

This section provides notification of the filing by federally-chartered institutions of applications for new branches to be located in New York received from Mr. Toney Bland, Deputy Comptroller, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, 340 Madison Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY  10017 and Mr. Brian Steffey, Office of Thrift Supervision, Harborside Financial Center Plaza Five, Suite 1600, Jersey City, NJ 07311.  Any comment or objection in relation to any application in Section III should be communicated immediately to the supervisor of the institution involved, with a copy furnished to this office.  This section is provided as a courtesy to New York State-regulated banking institutions; additional information relating to federally-chartered institutions is available in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s Weekly Bulletin or its Web site:  http://www.occ.treas.govand via the Office of Thrift Supervision’s Web site at: http://www.ots.treas.gov.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Each item in the Weekly Bulletin is identified by a two-letter code indicating the type of institution and a three-letter code indicating the Banking Department Division which has supervisory responsibility for the institution.  The following is a list of the codes and their meanings:
