Insurance Companies with Approved Paid Family Leave (PFL) Insurance Policy Forms in 2023

The following insurers have approved PFL policy riders for issuance in New York to be attached to their existing Disability Benefits Law (DBL) policies.  For those insurers marked with an asterisk (*), a standalone PFL policy has also been approved.  A standalone PFL policy may only be issued to an employer that self-insures its DBL benefits pursuant to Section 211(3) of the Workers’ Compensation Law or to an employer who is providing voluntary PFL benefits pursuant to Sections 212-a and 212-b of the Workers’ Compensation Law.
