Requirements for Change in Location - Budget Planners

  1. A written notification on corporate letterhead and signed by an authorized executive officer, indicating the following:
    • Current and proposed locations
    • Reason(s) for relocation
    • Effective date of relocation
    • Whether there will be any change in control or business model
    • Please specify whether and how the relocation will result in a change in fees charged to New York clients.
  2. An affidavit stating that the new location is located in a properly zoned area
  3. Board of director’s resolution approving the relocation
  4. Signed lease agreement

Mail the aforementioned documents, in one package, to:

The original license must NOT be surrendered with the relocation request. Once the DFS receives a complete package of the aforementioned documents, an approval process takes place and a relocation rider will be issued reflecting the new address. Both the original branch license and the relocation rider certificate shall be prominently posted at the respective new locations.
