Consumer Alert: Notice Regarding Global Crowdstrike Outage
Due to the global technology outage involving Crowdstrike, DFS has temporarily changed the process for filing complaints and external appeals.
Consumer & Provider Complaints
If you have an urgent, life-threatening complaint that requires immediate attention, please send an email to [email protected]. In your email, please include a summary of the issue, relevant policy numbers or product details, and appropriate contact information.
For non-urgent complaints, we will post an update when our systems are back up and running and the normal complaint process has resumed.
External Appeals
If you have an expedited appeal, please call the hotline at 1-888-990-3991 before filing the appeal.
As a reminder, expedited appeals are for situations in which a patient has not received treatment, and the 30-day timeframe for an external appeal decision will seriously jeopardize the patient’s life, health, or ability to regain maximum function, or a delay will post an imminent or serious threat to the patient’s health.
