What Mortgage Applicants Need to Know
New York Banking Law has been amended by Chapter 566 of the Laws of 2024. This change requires the Department to create, post and share information with all licensed lenders and banking organizations that offer residential mortgage services.
Licensed lenders, mortgage bankers and other banking organizations must provide this information, by sharing the pamphlet or by sharing a link to the information on this website, with each person applying for a loan secured by a mortgage upon residential real estate no later than the third business day after receipt of the mortgage application.
