WITHDRAWN

TO EXCESS LINE BROKERS

This Department has recently received affidavits from several Excess Line Brokers indicating that they have placed accident and health insurance in an unauthorized insurer.

Section 122 of the Insurance Law refers to the lines of insurance set forth under the various paragraphs of Section 46 which may be placed by Excess Line Brokers in unauthorized insurers. This is to put you on notice that Section 122 does not authorize an Excess Line Broker to place any form of the following lines of insurance with an unauthorized insurer -

1. Life

2. Annuities

3. Accident and Health

4. Title

5. Workmen's Compensation

You are requested to acknowledge receipt of this letter.
