SUBJECT: Seguros America Banamex, S. A., Mexico City Mexico

This Department is in receipt of a letter from Mid-Continent Underwriters, U.S. Managing Agent for Seguros America Banamex, S. A. of Mexico City, Mexico (Banamex) confirming that Banamex has not appointed any agent or in any other way authorized any intermediary to solicit insurance business in the State of New York.

Up to and including October 31, 1975, Banamex did accept submissions of direct and reinsurance business emanating from the State of New York, but effective November 1, 1975, the Company suspended acceptance of any submissions from brokers or intermediaries.

Banamex issues policies only through Mid-Continent Underwriters and Banamex has not authorized any person or organization to issue certificates or policies to anyone in New York after October 31, 1975.
