TO ALL AUTOMOBILE SELF-INSURERS AND INSURERS LICENSED TO WRITE AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE IN NEW YORK STATE

RE:

NO-FAULT REIMBURSEMENT SCHEDULES FOR HOSPITAL:

(A) OUTPATIENT SERVICES RENDERED ON AND AFTER JULY 1, 1989;

(B) INPATIENT SERVICES FOR SALAMANCA HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT RENDERED ON AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 1988 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1988; AND

(C) INPATIENT SERVICES FOR TREATMENT RENDERED ON AND AFTER JULY 1, 1989 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1989.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 83, 11, NYCRR 68.2, the no-fault rate schedules for reimbursing hospital services provided under § 5102(a)(1) of the Insurance Law shall be as follows:

(A) outpatient services, as established for workers' compensation by the Chair of the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB), in conformity with Chapter 453 of the Laws of 1984; and

(B) inpatient services in conformity with Section 2807-c of the Public Health Law.

Attached is the Outpatient Hospital Rate Schedule duly, established by the WCB CHAIR. No-Fault payors should use this schedule to reimburse hospitals from July 1, 1989 through June 30, 1990.

In, addition, the Office of Health Systems Management (OHSM) has calculated revised rates of reimbursement for hospital inpatient services rendered to patients covered under the Workers' Compensation Law, the Volunteer FireFighters Benefit Law and the Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Reparation Act in the following selected areas:

(1) Salamanca Hospital for the period from January 1, 1988 through December 31, 1988;

(2) For the period from July 1, 1989 through December 31, 1989 for all. hospitals; and

(3) revised reimbursement rates for the period from July 1, 1989 through December 31, 1989 for the following nine hospitals:
