In addition to the foregoing list of Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course sponsors available to the general public, there are a number of in-house courses offered only to the employees of such sponsors. Information on these courses is not intended for distribution to the general public, but should be disseminated to the appropriate personnel at the insurer to ensure that credit is given for completion of any of these courses by an insured, meriting the same premium reduction as the publicly available courses. Current sponsors of approved in-house programs are:
Nassau County Police Department |
NYS Police Academy |
NYC Fire Department |
NYS Education Department |
NYC Police Department |
Suffolk County Police Department |
NYS Department of Transportation |
|
Literature furnished to insureds about these courses should be revised to provide the proper names, addresses and telephone numbers of the organizations sponsoring the ten courses available to the general public listed on page 1 of this letter. Companies should furnish this revised literature to all insureds with new policies no later than March 1, 2002 and to all other insureds, with their renewal or billing notice, on or after April 1, 2002.
Very truly yours,
